Rebecca Morton grew up in Southern Illinois and moved to the West Coast after high school. She holds a BA from San Francisco State University and an MFA in poetry from Eastern Washington University. Her writing appears in The Adroit Journal, The Cincinnati Review, RHINO, Sugar House Review, Poetry Northwest, Pacifica Literary Review, and elsewhere.

Rebecca is currently working on a collection of poems about horses, mothering, and her family’s experience in the foster care system. After many years in Seattle, she now lives in Chicago with her wife and children.
